Identity
Whenever I create an identity for a brand, I collaborate with the client to ensure their ideas are heard and their vision is exceeded. I understand that the logo is the company's first impression, so it has to "work" in a variety of applications and formats. Each identity I create follows these guidelines, but is unique to the brand and its values.
Baldr Investments and Management is a start-up investment firm and management company that specializes in real estate aquisition and renovation. The challenge was to create an identity system for each division of the company as well as the organization as a whole. Incorporating the viking profile into the letterform leverages the viking spirit and references the namesake of the brand. The modernized version of a traditional Nordic color pallatte reinforces the theme. Since they are a start-up, they need to grow their business quickly, but have limited funds for promotion. So to save on costs, I created a double sided business card that allows them to "print more for less".
When Giannillo Salon needed an update to their existing logo, they hired me to reinvent it. I updated their font and simplified their design to better reflect their high-end boutique and be easier to apply to all the different products and promotions they needed it for.
The company Critical Tales is a niché business that provides assets for camera departments in the film and television industry. By simplifing the film strip into its most basic shape, I was able to reference the traditional medium without focusing soley on it. The simple design allows for the identity to be applied to equipment of all shapes and sizes and the bright yellow used in conjunction with black ensures that the mark is always visible.
E1 Asset Management is an investment company that needed a complete reimagining of their identity. The business wanted their logo to reflect the company's values by emphasiszing their global reach and focused approach. The compass represents these ideals and experience. Along with creating their identity, I was asked to redesign the web site, and you can see that work here: http://www.e1am.com.
