Branding: CreateNYC
CreateNYC is a virtual agency based in New York City that focuses on developing communications for established brands. Their results-focused approach became the launching point for the development of their identity. By combining the UPC symbol with some of New York's most recognized landmarks, the logo illustrates the company's dedication to delivering quality product to their well known clientele.
The stationary set was designed to highlight the identity and separate the company from its competitors. The unique shape of the business card and the embossed logo gives prospective clients a memorable first impression. The black envelope was chosen to stand out amidst piles of mail and the black and white color scheme allows the company to produce consistent branding easily.
The original website was designed during the company launch. At the time, the focus of the site was to create a strong web presence and demonstrate the capabilities, process, and talent of the agency. The design was built on the theme established in the identity. Where the logo embeds famous landmarks into the the UPC label, the agency's promotional imagery inserts the logo into the city's landscape. Additional design elements reference the production process, and registration colors were introduced as a secondary color palette.
Since the company has grown dramatically since the launch several years ago, the purpose of the web site has changed. Recently they have updated the web site; and, while some elements of my original design remain, I can not take credit for the new look and feel.
I have had the extreme pleasure to continue to be a contributor to CreateNYC's "Creator's Hub", and have occasionally been commissioned to provide additional assets for them. Some of these promotional materials include direct mailers,
e-blasts, and digital imagery.
